Seasons

about

Sometime in 1992/1993, I picked up the Singles Soundtrack CD after a regular cello lesson stop in State College, PA. So many great bands and songs of the time fill this soundtrack--including the first Smashing Pumpkins song I'd ever heard (and it's still one of their best!)--but the song that hit me the most was Chris Cornell's acoustic track "Seasons".

Of course it's more about loneliness and the passage of time than any one particular season, but my association with it became inextricably tied to fall. So, this fall, I've finally attempted to do it justice via this cello arrangement. As the darkness closes in and the days get colder, I hope it brings you some warmth.
